About Sterilization Techniques

Here at Precision Dental we sterilize our instruments thoroughly before use.  The instruments are first run through a high powered disinfection machine (similar to a powerful dishwasher) where the internal temperature reaches nearly 100˚C. After the disinfection stage, our kits and instruments are wrapped and prepped to be sterilized in an autoclave. Our kits are wrapped tightly in autoclave paper and sealed with autoclave tape. The tape changes color in the autoclave when the temperature and pressure have reached ideal specifications to ensure sterilization. Our instruments are packaged in sealed pouches which have dual color changing indicators that change color when sterilized in the autoclave (same as the autoclave tape). We send our instruments through this rigorous process to ensure safety and a sterile environment for all our patients.
