Crowns are used to save a tooth that has been grossly damaged by decay/fractures that cannot be supported by a filling. 

• Dental crowns are typically completed in 2 visits. At the first visit, the tooth is reshaped in preparation for a future crown. An impression or scan is taken and sent to a professional laboratory to fabricate a customized crown. 
• A temporary crown will be placed to protect the tooth. Please click on Post Operative Care to see how you should take care of your temporary crown. 
• During your second visit, the crown will be fitted, adjusted, polished and cemented permanently.
